The project for the Fürth Municipal Library is based on the analogy of the open book as an archetype, which determines the shape, the attitude and the materials of the building. The vertical slats of various density on the facade - the pages of an open book - filter the view and result in a variety of connections between spaces, inside and outside, while assuring the intimacy of reading.
